Yoga found Carrie over two decades ago and has led to her dedication to intense, independent practice, research and study. Currently, Carrie
has over 1,400 hours of training, including 500-hour RYT YogaWorks. Carrie is a certified YogaWorks teacher and teacher trainer. Carrie most
recently completed a yin teacher training program with YogaWorks. Carrie completed a 362-hour
teacher-training program in India under Dr. Senthil Kumar at an Ayurvedic Hospital. In 2012 she traveled to Costa Rica for a month long
intensive teacher training program and completed her 300-hour Jivamukti Yoga certification. Carrie completed a teacher training mentorship
program with Mathew Reyes, and completed a level I teacher training with Baron Baptiste.
Carrie has been teaching yoga since 2006. Carrie has brought yoga to corporate businesses, schools and hospitals. Carrie teaches private
sessions and workshops at her studio at YogaWorks and other parts of the world.
Carrie holds retreats once a year and loves to travel to different countries and explore other culture as a community of yogis.
Inspired by the Ashtanga and Iyengar lineages Carrie is eternally grateful for all the guidance she received from teachers (past, present
and future), she considers herself blessed to experience and share the yoga traditions, to live, learn and create positive change in the world.
She believes that yoga and mindfulness can unlock a student’s true potential and creative spirit. She also believes a sense of humor; a
beginner’s mindset and dedication to the journey are key components for developing a strong foundation of a yoga practice.
In 2009 Carrie had the honor of being invited to participate in the Seane Corn Leadership Program, which she completed. Carrie believes that
being of service is both an honor and our duty as human beings. She was one of only 21 women who reached her goal of raising $20,000 in
donations, for which she was invited to travel with Seane Corn to Uganda, Africa as part of a life changing Bare Witness Tour in 2010. Carrie
continues to support the Uganda projects, and is humbled and honored to serve around the world as well as in her community.
For me, teaching yoga is an opportunity to give back. It is an opportunity for me to share all the amazing gifts I have learned along the

the extraordinary gifts I have learned along the magical journey. Her primary objective is to help students come to know that yoga can
organically heal and guide them. She enables students to be at ease wherever they are; to be in the moment; to feel empowered and able to enjoy
their personal journey.
Carrie loves to play with sequencing in her classes. Her background in theater and her love for painting helps her to bring great creativity
into her classes, allowing her to create unique, safe and playful class sequences. In order to take her students into a deeper understanding
of a pose and their relationship with it, Carrie prides herself in her attentiveness to proper alignment and safety. Due to some of her own
injuries, she is able to empathize with those students who have injuries or limitations in their body. However, she believes that asana is
only one part of the yoga practice. For Carrie, yoga is truly about working from the inside out, learning to love who we are and where we are
in each moment; each breath; each day on and off our mat. She believes that a strong focus on proper alignment is not only a way to keep the
body physically safe, but also provides "points of dharana," or gateways to inner stillness and meditation, which is also yoga.
Carrie teaches all levels of asana classes, mentors young teachers and leads workshops and YogaWorks 200-hr teacher trainings program. Carrie
has a playful spirit and encourages a balance between working hard and joyfully exploring one's own practice, stepping into the light of
awareness and familiarity with one's true spirit.
Anyone who has practiced with Carrie can appreciate and enjoy the soothing yet challenging dynamic of the class... she provides a true oasis
in your busy day! She encourages her students to live and be the yoga each day, fostering courage, commitment and integrity. Her dedication
and commitment to yoga is apparent, and serves as inspiration for her students as they journey to find the true inner self.
Through steady practice, one can cultivate balance, move towards healing, tap into deep inner strength, and gain a greater perception of oneself
and the world around. There is vitality, a life force, energy, a quickening, that is translated through you into action, and because there is
only one of you in all time, this expression is unique. Hope to see you on your mat soon.
Carrie's mentors include Dr. Senthil Kumar, Sharon Gannon, David Life, Maty Ezraty, Annie Carpenter, Yogeswari, Steve Ross, Bryan Kest, Seane
Corn, Matthew Reyes, Vinnie Marino and Birgitta Kristin. From these inspiring teachers Carrie learned philosophy, sanskrit, chanting, and asana
practices that have served to strengthen her love and passion for yoga.
